About Darren Volkes
In his role as executive vice president of Guaranteed Returns (GRx), Darren Volkes oversees the pharmaceutical reverse distributor's $15 million sales and marketing budget as well as other activities pertaining to day-to-day operations, communications, and quality control. He also serves on its Executive Committee and Client Development Committee. Darren Volkes has served GRx in an executive role since 1998, during which time he secured a $30 million contract from Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense to process returned goods on a global scale and led negotiation efforts on the acquisition of GRx competitor Easy Returns Worldwide.
Darren Volkes co-founded GRx in 1986 and served his first five years with the company as its director of operations. Among other achievements in this capacity, he helped increase overall efficiency via the implementation of streamlined standard operating procedures and established a network of more than 20,000 pharmacy clients.
Mr. Volkes began his career as coordinator of affiliated companies at Marubeni America Corporation, prior to which he completed a bachelor's degree in finance at Dowling College in Oakdale, New York. He also holds an associate's degree in business administration from Suffolk Community College. His hobbies include skiing, cycling, and traveling.
